The brim on my Akubra Fed IV Deluxe is really floppy. I was wondering if there was a way to stiffen it up a bit?

Divine intervention?
This might be a stupid question, but why is it on some sites the Christy's Foldaway is listed as lined and on others it's unlined? Is there a difference in manufacturing between US hats and UK hats?
Foldaways are seldom lined. My Christy's for Hornet Hats is not lined...
Isnt this a new hat? How floppy is it (if there is an accurate way to describe it)?
Hello everyone. Any of you know the history of the hillbilly hat? I am wondering if it has an official name and where it may have come from.
Thanks.
The official name is either the McCoy, the Hatfield or the Jed Clampett, I can't remember which one. Swampy Holler is the origin, if I remember aright.
I think of Jed as having a flatter crown. Maybe a beat up telescope or teardrop top with a wide brim.
I'll look into McCoys and Hatfields. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.
Actualy, don't look into those two. It's just a joke based on the two historic hillbilly feuding clans, the Hatfields and McCoys. They would have worn the hillbilly hats.
I knoew of the Hatfields and McCoys (I think of WV), but figured, maybe one had a hat named after them. Maybe I am a bit slow on the uptake.
