Does anyone have any experience with the Bailey of Hollywood Litefelt Blixen or Stetson Frederick fedoras? They do look pretty nice for a non-fur hat. I'm only going with non-fur because of budget. Still hope someday to get a fur felt hat. :)
Have you checked out the Akubra line on the internet? For not much more cash you can get a good quality fur felt hat that will last you a very long time and look great the whole time. What is your hat size?

I wear around 7 5/8 or 7 3/4. I should probably have my wife measure my skull to make sure. I know the hat size of less expensive hats I order is usually XL, but there are some I have gotten that are on the snug side, and the Jaxon felt fedora that I got is slightly loose.

How much are you looking to spend?

I'm back with a question.....
I purchased a Srerkowski "Mosca"
Please don't give to much grief on that...but I like thw hat because it is really light.
That being said, the brim of the hat got a wrinkle, I took a distilled dampened washcloth and ironed out the wrinkle. That work to a T , wrinkle gone. As a result the snap brim no longer has a snap, the flat brim look is good for me, I also like to snap the brim up while a work.
Help needed here is, what does one do to recover. Restoring the snap.
If anyone we're to know the process, FL is the place to ask.

I really can't afford to go over $75 right now.

That’s reasonable. Are you looking for a fedora, Indy, homburg, adventure, ????
The reason I’m asking, I have several hats in approximately your size for sale right now. I have both wool and fur felt.

I'll personally vouch for @deadlyhandsome. He recently sold me a great homburg at a fair price. I highly recommend and would gladly buy from him again.

You will need to have the brim re-flanged. Unless you plan on doing lots of the same size hats with the same width brim all with the same flange profile/depth, you’ll need to send it out to a hatter. You can try to come up with some jury-rigged fix, but nothing will give you the results of using the proper flange. They cost about $160 new so off to the hatter it goes...or live without it snapping.

If you want to try the DYI route you can look for instructional videos. The video linked was just the first I found and I can’t speak to the quality etc.:

Hi. I have a steam iron, a good one that puts out a lot of steam, a tolliker, and ironing board, and some custom hat bands.

I keep my hats in safes, and sometimes, when I take one out to use it, I see the brim lost its shape by being squished by the hat next to it.

I keep everything I need in my bedroom, and fixing the hat only takes a couple of minutes.
To put the snap back in the brim, I use the steam iron to curve it upwards, curve and shape it a little more with the tollicker, wait 'til it's dry, and then snap it back down or up with my hands.

I watched Ignacio do this so many times, I learned how. I don't do it as well as he, but I do it OK.
Now, off to take a shower and wait for my new hat safe to be delivered.

Re-flanged? Does Sterkowski even flange the brims on their fedoras? I don't own one of their hats, but the ones I've seen in photos seem to have a little upturn on the back of the brim, and maybe a little downturn on the front. Otherwise, their brims seem to be relatively flat.

I’ve never looked at Sterkowski fedoras, just the caps.
