You can tell "Etsy" of the error and
perhaps they can make adjustments with the item in
question.
don't have much interest in any of that honestly

if I went around attempting to correct every date discrepancy or problem with dating that I had with items on eBay and Etsy I would have no time to eat or sleep

it's up to the buyer to know the truth ... this is often how deals are found

If you say you are never wrong, perhaps you can enlighten those that would like to know
with regards to the year for this vintage hat box.
It would be a nice gesture on your part! :)

What years did Stetson use this hat box?

There may have been some overlap but it was common in the 1980's.

I thnk the box (red and black that says Stetson Stetson Stetson..) is from the 1960's. The Stetson box with the cowboy and horse is definately late 70's and into the 80's.

I purchased three XXXX quality cowboy hats from Stetson from a local "western" store in a nearby town. Those were the standard boxes that ALL the hats came in.

And the inner hat liners were all the iconic cowboy giving his horse a drink from his Stetson.

Howdy folks. Long-time lurker, second-time poster here.

So not long after reading Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle, I watched the TV show. One of the characters, Lem Washington, wears a rather fine-looking flat cap:

It appears to be a trim newsboy with a pretty short brim. I'd love to get my hands on a cap as close to this one as I can. I tried my luck with Hat People, having read good things about them here, and was impressed when it came in the mail today. Their Pendleton wool in charcoal feels great, and overall the hat is a nice one. Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite like I expected. My mistake, I think, was ordering the deep cut: the crown is too high/full, and it doesn't taper down toward the brim as the one in the photos does. I'm thinking maybe the fellow above has got a snap on the brim to keep the fabric drawn toward the front?

Anyway, I'm thinking of exchanging the deep cut for a medium, but I'm not sure if that will achieve the look I'm shooting for. Does anyone know of a cap that can closely approximate the look of the one I've posted here?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Check out AmiCharnel. Stew has his own website now. I have three of his caps and they do resemble the one it your picture. He uses nice tweeds and thick leather as the internal support for the brim. You can order cloth sweats of full leather. His price for the quality he offers is great. He is in the UK which delays delivery a bit but it is not too bad. If you send me a PM with your email I will snap a pic and send to you.

Thanks, gents. Very helpful. Belfastboy, I checked out AmiCharnel, and the newsboys they have for sale look pretty spot on. Ed, those Cordova hats look incredible, but are unfortunately out of my price range!
