So, the right-click move doesn't work on a Mac. To select, all I know to do is click on the picture 'til it turns blue, then Control c, but that doesn't retain anything to paste. It's another example of why I have a love/hate union with computers.

Oh, I thought you had a PC. I was explaining how I do it on my PC. I will try a Mac copy and paste tonight or tomorrow night to see what the story is.

By the way, have you tried more than one listing? I think that some may be set up with copy protection.

In the pc world, it's a pain. If they're not self hosted photos (down in the auction), but the ebay hosted photos in the top left corner, it takes more work. When I really want an ebay hosted photo I use a snipping tool (google it), save the photo, and upload it to photobucket.

I know the feeling. I too went through a period where I had trouble capturing the pics. Eventually, I worked it out. The method I describe below works on my PC to my satisfaction.

I have experimented with the sniper tools Lefty describes. I wasn't impressed and eventually uninstalled them. Anyway, I will mess with the Mac later and see what's going on in that realm.

From a Mac: open the enlarged picture on ebay, control click picture, choose "copy image address", paste between image tags ([ img] and [ /img], but without the space)

Shantung question. I have a friend who has a Resistol Western, maybe 12-13 years old. Reads "Genuine Shantung Panama". Has a bit of deformation in the crown (very minor, told him I'd simply wear it like that, barely noticeable and gives the hat "street cred"). Also, he'd like to reshape the brim (less curl here, more there, etc.).

Question is, will these respond to water spray or steam the way a real straw hat would (or at all)? Can he do any of this on his own? Is he better off going to a hat shop? (Henry The Hatter came to my mind, though there are also Western specialists around here that still shape hats).

Any help for him, or is it best to leave it alone (and perhaps time to buy a new hat)?

Rats. When I control click the picture I get a Copy Link option only, I click that, but then when I try to paste into this space, all it says is "javascript:;"

You are (obviously ) clicking on a link.

The only images you cannot copy this way are those part of a flash presentation I believe.

Borsalino ~ Maurice L. Rothschild ~ 7 1/4 ~ With Original Price Tag ????



Hello,
I have a Borsalino I am looking for information on. This seems to be the place to do so! I can tell it is a Borsalino imported by Maurice L. Rothschild & Co. of Chicago. It has the MLC price tag in it with an original price of $20.00. Anyone know more about this hat? Its age? Its value? It is in excelent condition!

The tag inside states:

1402P 73019 C 7 1/4
Cerere c/ Ossido "Gatergu ue" ( hand written )

MLR price sticker with $20 on it.
