Yes. It's exactly the same as your picture except the liner picture has a thin clear layer. Does this make it older or newer,

This one has that layer that is why it appears a little yellow.
This image, silk screened with the layer would be older than the new version of the Last Drop w/o the layer.
What does the emblem on the sweatband look like?

my apologies. Well, after that all I can say is that your picture is a dead ringer ( except for the initials ) And my bad for having no pictures at hand.

It just It is for sale to me for $30 from a family freind. And I've heard the newer ones lose a lot of colour.

BTW, is that David Carradine? and what hat is that?

That is Richard Harris as "English Bob" in the Eastwood film Unforgiven. It's similar to a felt "plantation" hat, but with a Gambler hat affectation to the brim.

It was one of the few custom ideas I was considering. I just really like that hat and the character .

The no. 52 block is very tall and straight sided. Here is a quote below from Art Fawcett confirming that the 952 blocks are also 52 blocks.

I have a couple of horsehair brushes, none were dedicated hat brushes. My favorites are old shoe brushes that have, to my mind, just the right character of softness/firmess to be effective yet kind on a high quality finely pounced felt. They are a little wide for narrow brims though.

These new brushes are reasonable - I don't think you could go wrong getting them and adding another as you find it. There are lots of felt qualities and condition issues when dealing with vintage hats and brushes are like hats, you can always use another.
