I might be wrong but I think it was a Fine creek?

It's happened with both.

The Freewheelers one was on here, the sleeve ripped off at the shoulder.

The FCL Robert ripped open at the underarm gusset on first wear, on Styleforum.

FCL (like Simmons Bilt with the mis-sized jackets) refused to take any responsibility for the faulty construction, even though it was bought through an authorized dealer in the US, and offered only to do a repair at the shop's expense. (The owner thought that was unfair to the shop so he didn't send it to FCL at shop's expense since they should have taken responsibility.)

You should not buy a grizzly jacket* in SoCal.

*with mouton panels

You should buy a grizzly jacket with the much more cool looking hair-on-hide panels in SoCal.

LW makes some stellar hair-on-hide jackets. I thought about one of his MC jackets with those panels.

You’re a generous friend.

My childhood best friend. Spotted it at the Schott factory sale so it's a design that may not have gone into full production (or if it did, I don't think it was in the US). It was a cross-zip Perfecto, but no ticket pocket or belt. Very minimalist which let the full front and (one piece) back hair-on-hide panels speak for themselves.

I found another listing for the same jacket and it seems to be a 2021 LVC jacket, so no.

Ah, got it! I must have had them mixed up in my head because rereading the thread all the pictures looks really familiar. Thanks!

Any brits done the zenmarket thing (or equivalent) on jackets from Japan? All the recent C2s and Model E’s have me hankering for a Vanson but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around the landed costs to uk (and if it is worth getting a couple of jackets at once)…

2. Does all lamb and sheep leather contain lanolin? does it dissolve over time and do i need to re-apply?

If you have fallen in love with the jacket and you absolutely have to have it, have it shortened.
But I'm afraid you have too many other good jackets and so this one will probably always be your second choice, even if it is shortened.
If that's the case, pass it on.

@Harris HTM the hangers have arrived and they're (almost) perfect.

I found these on Amazon. Perfect slope and width. I ordered the slim ones for my gf's jackets and the thicker ones for my leather jackets.

The problem with my previous Aero Leathers hangers was that they didn't distribute the weight of the jacket onto the hanger evenly. All the weight was focused onto two points, causing dimples in the leather as you can see here with this Thedi. Plus the metal hook is too short to accomodate mouton collars.

Therefore I tried to find a hanger with a slope that allows for perfect weight distribution across the hanger. 135 degrees turned out to be the number.
As you can see, jackets are supported all the way from the neck to the shoulder end. View attachment 306839

The diagonal creases you see on the cafe racer are not caused by this hanger, but they're the result of years of hanging on a hanger that had a too narrow slope.

Here's the results. Slim hangers for cloth jackets and for my gf's leather jackets, thick hangers for my leather jackets. View attachment 306823

Why aren't they perfect? The width of the hook is 4 cm. 5 would have been better for smooth sliding on the rail.

Any other specific recommendations for hangers? These ones don't seem to be available on American Amazon.
