Here's a piece of chert with some color I started last fall. I'll probably go ahead & finish it up for the experience but I've already screwed it up by not thinning it down enough before starting to taper the sides. Now as I try to thin it the piece will continue to get narrower & somewhat smaller so it will have to end up something small like a bird point.I've been trying to learn the art of flintknapping for several yrs.
