Thanks Rat Pack. I bet you have a heck of a time deciding which one to wear. They are all three stunners. I might have to copy that Silver Mist/purple ribbon combo.

Bart, not sure what the name of the ribbon color is on the silver mist. It is actually a touch lighter in person than it is on the photos on my screen. I love it though.

I'm sure Art would be happy to make you one ! :)

Wow! Under different lighting those two just pop! Like Bart said, I bet you have a hard time deciding which one to wear. My favorite is still the black cherry though. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Cheers!

HELP!!!

Somewhere in this massive thread I remember a Royal Blue ribbon that wasn't the basic grosgrain, but was embossed with a pattern.

Spent two days going through here and still can't find it again. Anyone remember that ribbon? I think it was on a Montecristi, or at least a very light colored hat.

I need that ribbon on my next one :)

This is a panama belonging to Daizawaguy. It's a beauty! I think i remember him saying it was inspired by Kimono fabric? Sorry D'guy if I got it wrong.

So, there I was on the 16th floor of a San Diego office highrise...Very fancy. I have a meeting with a big shot construction guru. We talk small talk, basically getting acquainted. I tell the guy I have a ranch in Mexico. He tells me he has a ranch in Oregon, way in the boonies. He says it is great....great neighbors. One guy sells bow hunting stuff...another neighbor sells.....hats! Oregon....hats....I ask him if by any chance it is Art Fawcett? He about falls out of his chair. "Yes," he says, "how do you know Art?" And so the reunion begins. I tell him I have four or so Art hats, the most recent of which is a wonderful western. He says, "Art made me a Western." Now you have to understand that this fellow is a Latvian South African of Jewish heritage. I can't quite picture him in Western, but sure enough he is an Art fan too. Amazing how you find connections all over. We swapped Art lies....had a great time...two hours later we realized we each had to go and we hadn't even talked business yet. This hat collecting sure is fun!

Talk about being as excited as the proverbial kid at Christmas! I just picked up my new Black Cherry VS from the Post Office, and it is even more amazing than I anticipated! Anybody who has seen my pictures before knows I'm not a photographer, but here's my best attempt at snapping a few pics with my phone. The ribbon treatment, which I left completely up to Art, is amazing. I love the arrows!

WOW!!!! You met Gaf, my neighbor. What a small world. He is a good neighbor and all around good guy. Even when he is up here Phil, he is working on projects. It's hard to get him away from the computer but, the outdoors DO call him .
THank you for all the kind words Gentlemen. It never gets old hearing and please believe me when I say I'm the most grateful guy on the planet for the success given by all of you.

I'm in Ca for Christmas so need to keep the post short ( Daughters cpu) I can only offer my heartfelt wishes that the Holiday's are the very best for all and with wishes for 2011 to be the best ever.
