Oxblood felt, forest green ribbon, with a hint of golden afternoon sunlight.

Lexy, that's a great looking lid, and sort of the reverse of this one, which I really like as well.

Sunset

At our Monteagle get-together Art had mentioned pairing the sunset felt with a light tan ribbon (with maybe some reddish tones in that tan ribbon), and I am anxious to see that combination; also trying to imagine a cranberry color ribbon. Felt looks beautiful!

Thanks guys!

Viper Man: I think the crown is 5 1/2" or so, with a 2 1/2" brim. Tear drop bash, though I deepened the crown bash quite a bit myself.

Chinaski: That whippet is awesome looking. I'm getting ideas now! lol

daizawaguy: Thanks! It's my first overwelted brim, and I'm liking it a lot.

Wow, that's another one of those colors that looks different in every light. I wasn't a fan of the shot of that hat by itself, but it looks really great on you.

I agree completely - it might sound funny, but the felt seems to blend well with your hair color and then the ribbon sets it all off quite nicely. :eusa_clap

A strict conversion from the French "conformateur" yields "conformador" in Spanish. A quick Google image search suggests that it's right.

FWIW, anyway. [huh]

Just a hint, Sir...that is going to be your hat size- I would place it where you want your hat to sit on your head...it seems it`s slanting back too much. Just my opinion for what it`s worth...maybe I`m wrong...But, what a great start! You`ll enjoy the ride!
