Whew!!! I wasn't sure you would like the ribbon combo Brent. David and I debated over it but I finally won out.
Enjoy
Wore this to church for the first time today. I always get complements when wearing Art's work and this bleached Milan was no exception. This bleached Milan arrived yesterday. Kinda sad as it will most likely be my last Art Fawcett. That makes seven custom beavers, four Dualists, and four custom straws. And that doesn't count the refurbishments VS has done for me. Of course I say it's my last. There is still some time left..... If this bleached Milan does end up being the last; I picked a good one to finish on. Tall crown, wide brim, and the pug - love everything about this!

This is a Montecristi I sent to Art to be refurbished. It arrived back to me today. I never thought I'd own a Montecristi this nice. I know what I'm wearing for worship services tomorrow.

I counted in several places. The lowest count I got was 1517 (37x41). The highest was 1800 (40x45). So I just say 1500. I love the way Art was able to keep the Optimo ridge on top of the crown to compliment the bash.Very nice, Bill! Any idea what the WPI count is? It’s so fine I can’t get the resolution to show individual weaves.

I'll answer Bill, Brent, this is between 1400 and 1700 wpi. Very difficult to count it's so tight. One of the finest I've ever worked on.
Keeping the religious theme......I know, I know, I should not be coveting my neighbours hat!!!!This is a Montecristi I sent to Art to be refurbished. It arrived back to me today. I never thought I'd own a Montecristi this nice. I know what I'm wearing for worship services tomorrow.

Well, word has it you're supposed to count weaves on the brim, so I'd go with 44-45.I counted in several places. The lowest count I got was 1517 (37x41). The highest was 1800 (40x45). Unbelievable Bill. What a nice hat. Do you have some more information about the hat? How did you come around this real treasure? This is a Montecristi I sent to Art to be refurbished.
I acquired this from Alex aka @ofcoursemyhorse here on the lounge. It originally was in an Optimo form made by Gus Miller of Batsakes Bros in Cincinnati, OH. I knew Art could do magic on it so I sent it to him for refurbishment.Unbelievable Bill. What a nice hat. Do you have some more information about the hat? How did you come around this real treasure?
