Sorry to hear of your loss, Art. I am not new to The Lounge, but have not posted before, have been "in the wings" so to speak. Was hoping after, after much searching that I would ask Art to make me my first VS.

I am looking at a 30's stetson style,(hope the picture comes up), in the nutria felt.

Does the nutria come in the lightweight felts?

Today worn with an odd jacket.
Darker mid grey flannel jacket with b/w houndstooth flannel trousers, pale blue end-on-end shirt, wool hankie, and block stripe silk knit tie.

Hatband, unless things have changed since I last purchased a lightweight hat from Art, the lightweight felts are all beaver.

I really like the Stetson you posted. Is that one that you own? A clone in Art's lightweight felt would be a fantastic hat.

Wish I did own it, but no, I got that photo from another thread, the Stetson Pre 40's one I think.
I will see how far the budget will stretch, maybe beaver felt could be an the plan.

You might as well get the VS Lite (beaver) which would be a good & close choice for that style & era of fedora.

yes the beaver probably would be closer to the era, not sure if the budget will stretch, I will have to an opinion from Art and see what options are available. Am thinking of a similar light colour,
maybe Bluesmoke, or Dove?

My major decision is ArtLite or Legacy for that one in Dove?????
