army ssi patch placement

i aquired a 1968 ripstop jungle shirt, i have a 1st cavalry subdued division patch, wonder how far down from left upper arm sleeve does is go ? 1 inch or less.

Regs call for the unit patch to be 1/2" below the left shoulder seam and centered. If wearing it as a combat patch it should be on the right sleeve. But don't wear it on the right unless you have earned it. I see that you have inquired about the left sleeve, which is correct.
