While browsing through the classifieds I came across this ad.

Argo is a bootmaker from Japan that I have never heard of before.

The Anchor model appeals to me.

Few but nice leathers to choose from (CXL, Maryam horse butt, Wicket & Craig latigo). Choice of soles from Dr. Sole and Vibram. They mention on the homepage that the boots are hand sewn welted. Possibility to specify your own measurements and some details (color hardware, height of the shaft, toe box ect.). All this at a very competitive price.

That sounds almost too tempting to be true.

Now my question: Has anyone already had experience with this maker? I would be delighted if you could share your experience here.

Only information I got was from Masa - he worked for Clinch and lives now in Germany. He said that they used to be a repair shop but he didn't know they started making boots.

I am trying to get some engineer boots ill report back.,

They seem basically unknown outside of the Japan, but the same boots would be 1.5-3x more in the US.

Not a huge fan of the broguing on the heel but at least makes their service boot stand out a little bit.
