ARE THESE SWEDISH LEATHER COATS 3.6KG THE HEAVIEST MADE

are they the heaviest, as i have never held any heavier , i suppose the blanket lining and being thick hide would account for this.
i would love to wear it now as we are freezing and thick snow.just like Canada l.o.l.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
regretably i have to sell as no longer fits me, only ever worn once that was about 40yrs ago, guess i have put on a few pounds since then , i purchased new in 60s from govt. surplus stores, size about 40, knee length ideal for winter or motorcycle, flying, etc. brown with coarse fur collar, which straps up has heavy blanket lining , double breasted , half belt back ,
weighs 3.6 kilo , so bare in mind shipping cost from uk

Many leather jackets are heavy like this. I have a short bike jacket that weighs 3.5 kilos - unwearable, uncomfortable (to me). I've posted often about how for me any jacket weighing more than 1.7 kilos is too restrictive and a pain to wear, no matter how cold. My German double breasted police jacket from 30 years ago weighed around 4 kilos. I wore it twice.

I bought one of those coats from an old lady at a jumble sale in North London for £1 (!) about ten years ago – it was so heavy that I was sure it had some Nazi gold ingots hidden in the lining somewhere!

It was really great in deepest Winter but, yeah, you felt knackered just wearing it. I felt like Clunk off "Stop the Pigeon" when I buttoned the collar up! Still, I was wearing it the night I met my darling wife, Nadia, and she's since recounted how the combo of me wearing that coat and a button-neck blue/white 'sailor' sweater proved quite attractive!

Sounds like an interesting coat - I'd like to see photos. I have a hankering - though it'll be next winter now - for a coat that's as warm as my B3 but suitable for wearing over a suit.

I have two jackets that are 4.5 and 5 kg each and find them very wearable. I guess it all depends on your preference. There are many of jackets out there as heavy and heavier than 3.6 kg, but there is a very limited number of people interested in wearing them from what I have noticed.
