Are Sterkowski rabbit fur hats legit?

Hey, I'm looking into getting my first fedora and have been mostly looking for vintage rabbit fur felt to get a good price, but I came across these Sterkowski hats (more specifically, the sterkowski mosca) on ebay that have a suspiciously good price for a new rabbit fur hat. They seem to have a long history with caps. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I've ordered a couple of caps from Sterkowski in the last year, and I noticed that sometime between the first and the second they STOPPED selling fur felt hats and now offer ONLY wool felt. So just be VERY sure that this "new" Mosca is actually an earlier rabbit fur specimen and not the current wool.

Alas, I've never handled one of their rabbit fur hats, so I can't speak to their quality. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Well, funnily enough, if you click the mosca in that same page, it says rabbit fur inside haha. Some conflicting information on their part.

I'll take your word for it, I can't do that just now.

Changes to MS Edge in recent days have made browsing a mess. (E.g., they removed ad blocking!) The Mosca product page wants to me use my Google ID - which I NEVER use - to login. I had no such problem ten days ago when I ordered a cap there NOT using my Google ID. Frickin' Microsoft!

But my point is: I'd be dubious that a "new" Mosca will be rabbit fur rather than wool. Make sure your seller can detect the difference!

I've had lots of great rabbit fur hats from Akubra and Agnoulita...

Yes, I'd check that out first - probably worth emailing them. Not that wool is necessarily *bad*, but it is different, and if I were gonig to buy a wool hat, I'd expect to spend significantly less on it than on a furfelt.
