I was feeling nostalgic for the message forums of yore, not only this one, but a lot that I frequented in the 00's (hard to believe enough time has passed that the 00's are 20 years ago!). Many of the forums I used to visit are gone now. I'm glad to see this one still exists.

I think the page needs to go a little more
But times have changed, perhaps the site should move more toward doing some videos now and again. It is, when it comes to vintage women's fashion and where to find the details the premier spot for getting it right or why it was done. I do feel that a lot of ladies that are taking the lead are starting their own shops now to repro classics and they look great.

I do believe the ladies here like Lizzie Maine led the way when it comes to those who are coming after.
Men's fashion does get the focus heavily so when you see cuts and fits shifting back to 3 button jackets and higher waisted wider legged trousers that can last a decade or more of regular wear.
I spoke to a friend of mine in LA who owns several vintage resale shops and he says the vintage dress market fell through the floor and that was a mainstay of his business and he's had to scale back. Overall, post covid I think guys can still dress up and not think of it as much as dress up when it's a jacket and tie and women may be coming back to fashions pre covid which is spawning a lot of ladies attire brands that skew toward the vintage wears, but the workwear women in tight jeans and plaid shirts western workwear look is what it all looks to be starting with, as the business scene has gone toward ladies in wide legged trousers and bigger jackets again. Kind of the 1930s 1980s thing.
