I understand this forum is dedicated to the Golden Era, but I'm curious if any of you have a few vintage thin ties you'd be interested in getting rid of. Thin as around 1.5-2 inches, regardless of design. Prefer motifs and interesting patterns. Send me a PM or reply to the thread please. Thank you!

In order to receive PMs you will need to reach a certain number of posts so I would recommend you get posting.

On the main topic, are you looking for any particular style, colour or fabric? I have a number that I would be happy to clear out and will check the measurements etc.

I'm not after any particular style, design or color. Just a good variety and amount. I was hoping at the least 20 and most 30.

Sorry for the late replies.

Yes, I am trying to make a fast collection. Due to the largely conservative nature of where I live, anything considered "new" or "modern" was quickly kicked to the wayside, or thrown away 30 years ago. Finding thin ties is like finding hens teeth, more or less. In my years of looking, I can only recount finding 4 ties locally. I can't even locate the more staid mid-century styles and patterns. I could get a lot off of ebay, but I'd prefer a fedora lounge user get the business.

Thank you

If you've got stuff to swap then that could work - go over to the tie swap thread. Otherwise you'll have to get posting so we can PM. I think you have to make 50 posts.

I have a LOT of beautiful vintage think ties, from some of the best boutiques in Rome in the 1950s and 1960s, as well as from some of the best Ivy shops in Princeton of the same era. I'll be listing them for sale eventually, but if you'd like to get a jump on them, please PM me!

Sorry for the extremely late reply.

Over a few trips this summer I managed to pick up a great deal of ties of the era semi-locally. I'm still interested but at this point I just have to get my post count up. Thank you all!
