Any Love For Those Cheap Old Fidelity Leathers?

I just measured and my fidelity does measure spot on for a 36.
The real problem is that while I'm a small generally skinny guy I have somehow developed a bit of a gut.
I'm worried that a 38 might be too big in other dimensions, drooping shoulders and maybe a little big in the armpits.
I just don't really know enough about how cafe racers fit

I will have to look into a 38 and see what the dimensions are.
I just don’t know how much bigger or longer in parts a larger size is.

I found a 38 on Ebay and the measurements overall wouldn't work for me.
I think my issue has to do with the trim tapered Cafe racer fit, I have other jackets and vests that measure right at 36 and are not too snug.

Cafe racers just may not really work for me.
I kind of like it unzipped over a T shirt.

I have the same issue my belly sticks out stopping me from zip up but every other parts fits right. Cafe racers are cut slimmer.

I never thought the trimmer cut could be problematic for me.
I've been scrawny my whole life for a number of reasons, but around the time I turned 30 I started to develop a gut which certainly surprised me.
If I bulked up a little bit overall I could probably go up to a 36 in a cafe racer, and I'm pretty sure all my other size 36's would still fit me too.
In fact they might actually look a bit better on me.

I'm not going to start hitting the Gym just for the sake of jackets though.
