Hi all valued loungers

I'd like to know something by european loungers: where can I find akubra in Italy and/or in Europe (European community, obviously)?
I did some research in internet but it seems that it's almost impossible to find something. I e-mailed, too, some distributors that are reported in the akubra site but I didn't get any response (even from italian reseller).
Is it possible that akubra is a brand not so easy to find?
I'm thinking to buy directly from Australia but...for 100 euro of total goods I'll spent 150/160 of total bill (goods+shipping+taxes+various duties) :rage:
Also, what is the cheapest online store to buy Akubra (Australia or US) in the eventuality that in Europe it's impossible to find some style?
Many thanks in advance

Well, jaco, I'm not a European lounger, but I just ordered my first Akubra, after doing a fair amount of research on it. I actually did find a distributor in my little neck of the woods, but he'd never even heard of the Stylemaster.

In the event you haven't located akubra's distributor list for Europe, try looking here: http://www.akubra.com/distributors.html#euro

You might also take a peek at some stuff closer to home than Australia. I found the following links on the page listed above:
http://www.australiana.de/
http://akubra.dk/
http://www.em-and-partners.com/ (France)
http://www.hombitrading.ch/

There are more addresses and telephone numbers there, but I thought this might be a good start. If you've already tried all of these, I apologize for giving you information that you've already got..

Of course, there's also http://www.ebay.it/

Good luck in your search!

You're very kind

For SpatsMcGee:
thank you but I try to get contacts with all the european distributors listed in akubra site with a nice result...no response to any email :rage:
The only european seller that I found is a french shop from which I'll never by: it resemble insanity to ask 180 euro + shipping for a traveller listed at "everything australian" at 51 euro (+ shipping and taxes, ok, but surely more cheap  ).
Other online shops in U.K. are quite pricey too (due to bad exchange rate between english punds and euros).

For DonCarlos: thank you very much that site is quite good! few options for colors, indeed, but I'm thinking to take there my wished creatures

Kabuto, it is not that Ebay sellers don't want to ship vintage fedoras to Italy it is the country of Italy that prohibits such imports. According to Italy's list of prohibited items as listed on the United States Postal Service site it states as follows:
Haberdashery and sewn articles of any kind, including trimmings and lace; handkerchiefs; scarves; shawls, needlework including stockings and gloves; bonnets, caps, and hats of any kind.
This is just one of a long list of goods that are not allowed in to the country of Italy.

Hats are like potato chips, you just can't have one :D

E-Bay sellers won't ship vintage hats to Italy for some reason -- they're seized by customs or something. Maybe that's the case with new hats also.
Well, I listed the Italian ebay site in the hopes that jaco could find a seller in Italy. Then the hat wouldn't have to be shipped internationally.
