That's a perfect jacket and fit right there. I just love it! The leather and obviously the design(One of my favorite Aero patterns).

I wish my 50's half belt fit in the waist was as tight as in yours because it flares a bit for being a bit wide on me.

I'm sharing some photos I posted on the Thurston Bros/Insurrection thread here of my long-awaited acquisition, an Aero Sunburst in Red Fox medium-weight steerhide. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy molding it to my form; it's not stiff like horsehide, per se, but it will still need a good breaking in period to sit right.

Just got home form work, unfortunately it was dark outside so couldn't use natural light but the pics still pick up the rich tones of the honey-brown colour.
Edward, I considered russet goat for a Sunburst when the design first came out. I'll be sure to wear a jacket without cuff straps on my next chicken run! :)
Handymike, I requested normal handwarmer pockets, the angle of the standard Sunburst pockets is the one element of the design I don't like.

I'll definitely get some fedora shots up for you Wilbur!

Thanks again for all your kind responses gents, it's all your great jackets and photos that inspired me to get this one.

Bloody Photo Bucket. I can tell you for nought, I won't be signing up to their service. They've ruined endless threads around here with their stupid decision to pull public access to existing posts.
I hate how I can't see old pics!!

Aargh! Curse you Photobucket! I've tried to upload the photos here again, but I'm getting a message saying the files are too large for the server to process, which I've never had before.

The jacket is a work of art that sadly now hangs in the closet awaiting next autumn and much cooler temperatures for further wear. It's heating up down here!

Look forward to seeing how it's evolved Benny. If you snap pics on your phone and email them to yourself and select small file format they'll post here. Have to be under 1 MB.

OK I tried resizing them down a bit. Here are the original pics

Tony, it's a helluva tough jacket. I've worn it in some pretty brutal weather - heavy rain and wind etc - and it's barely started to mold to my shape yet. I reckon give it another season of good wear and it'll start to get a bit of life in it beyond the 'suit of armour' look!

the shine and color are gorgeous

It's a standout colour for sure. The cowhide is as thick and substantial but not as stiff as FQHH. People tend not to want to touch my FQHH halfbelt but for some reason whenever I've worn the Sunburst people have helped themselves to feeling the leather, as though it's from a comfortable old sofa or something (it does look very smooth). This can be good when the curious individual in question resembles Agent Carter, not so good when they look like Mr Bean.

You like it for an aero mulligan?
