Hey there,
I’m new in the forum and after reading quite a lot of your threads (thanks) I ordered in the end of march a “mid long” stuart, with following spec.:
medium Stuart “27,5”, one piece back, with a curved V-yoke back ,
Details:
Size 6`1.5 , weight constant 170 – 175 lbs,
Chestsize (T-shirt) inhaled 40,5 exhaled 39
Stuart style,
Heavy Front Quarter Horsehide, max. grained, (dark) brown,
based on the
-- slimmer 1930s halfbelt pattern --,
front:
-- 5 button front,
-- no breast pocket,
-- two handwarmer pockets, just a little bit slanted,
handwarmer pockets lined with dark moleskin, if not
. possible with brown corduroy,
-- two M422a style, vertical inner pockets, located in the
. facing, (gabardine lining),
-- throat latch with buttons, (2 positions quite wide ),
-- front minimum longer than back, (1930´s cut),
-- sleeve length 27,5, American cuffs,leather lined,
. true two piece sleeves, like on the HG-5,
-- side adjusters, d-rings, hight: mid of the handwarmer pockets,
backside
- - back length “27, 5”,
-- one piece back with curved yoke.- (one solid back panel, plus
. upper part with curved yoke (a little bit stronger curved .
than on a Highwayman),
-- “1,5” inch corduroy facing for the inside bottom hem,
-- entire jacket top stitched with olive drab thread,
-- jacket fully lined with olive Gabardine,
-
After a lot of emails the order changed to a “warmer”, slimmer version (armpit “23, back length “27, hand-warmer-pockets lined with brown corduroy), with tweed lining and moleskin under brown cotton drill (looks and feels like nice grey-olive gabardine) sleeves. I love their storm cuffs, so I couldn´t get satin (it´s too weak) in the sleeves. No “outer” cuffs - the combination (slim) 2 panel sleeves with double lining- would be quite slim.
Got the result four weeks ago, I´m deeply impressed, take a look!!
