Hello everyone. I'm new to the lounge.
I just placed an order with Aero.
Unfortunately, my RAF Pre-War doesn't have a leather- nor trim color yet.
Basically, I choose the color of my leather jackets like I do with motorcycles. As a modern man, of course I am open to all colors. As long as they're black.
Seal is almost black. But in most RAF pictures, it looks rather, how should I say, characterless. (My impression).
Russet is warmer, more vibrant.
On the other hand, it's a completely new shade to my wardrobe. Maybe I just need some more time to develop.
Fortunately, time is what I have. Aero currently has a waiting period of up to 3 months.
The same goes for the trim. Many of you - believe me, I know almost every one here by now
- have trim in a contrasting tone. On the large leather surface of an RAF, even if mine will "only" be a 40, that's probably not a bad idea. However, I haven't gotten used to it yet.
But the actual reason for my post: Sometimes the colors seem to vary greatly. In the pictures here in the forum, Russet ranges from light milk- to dark chocolate. Aero told me I'd get whatever was being processed that day.
You RAF Russet wearers - to make my decision easier - I'd appreciate a picture of your jacket, worn (if possible), preferably in daylight.
