The Premier Highwayman is a trimmer fitting cut, so this size 40 is really closer to a 38.
$450 shipped in CONUS.
Black FQHH, nickel zips, black cotton lining, moleskin lined handwarmer pockets, no internal pockets.
Not broken in yet, hasn't been worn much.
I bought it thinking I would wear it this upcoming year, but then on a trip to Scotland I was able to go to Galashiels and place a custom order, so this one is now supernumerary and needs to be moved along.
Measurements are:
- pit to pit: 21
- shoulder: 17
- back length: 23
- sleeve: 23 (measured straight) or 24 (measured along the outer curve)
The shoulder measurement seemed small to me when I bought it, but it turns out to be fine in the shoulders and chest, same fit as my 37 Board Racer.
I wear a size 38 suit jacket and a 14.5/33 dress shirt and the sleeves are just a mite short for my taste. Not enough to bother much, just not quite what I like. Probably best fit if your dress shirt sleeve length is 32, or maybe 33 and you like your jacket sleeve to fall at the bottom of your palm rather than the thumb knuckle joint.
