Small world! I just bought that exact jacket from Thurston Bros. !!
Nice!! You’ll love it. I probably would have bought it myself had the sleeves been just a bit shorter. I ended up shortening the sleeves about 1/2” and adding 1/4” to each side panel per Carries recommendation.

Fits you great. A jacket that is any larger when stiff, will be way too large once the leather relaxes. My Bootlegger, when new, fit so snug I could barely zip it up. After a few months of wear it has relaxed and I'm actually second guessing myself whether it is too large. If there is anything I have learned from that as well as more recent Vanson purchases, always go for as snug as possible on a new jacket for it to still be a good fit once it is broken in.
Wise words! I have made this mistake multiple times.

Which zip did you go with? I seriously am contemplating sending my Chips jacket to swap out the main zip. A preemptive strike. The little talon scares me every time I want to zip it up. Getting past the extra thick hem scares me. My issue is matching the navy blue stitching.
I failed to answer this one fully. Yes they have a selection of thread they can use. Contact Alan and he will get you all set up.

So this Premier fit Highwayman is breaking in quite thoroughly for me. I am seriously loving every aspect of this jacket now that the zipper is swapped, and the FQHH on this jacket is slightly thicker than other FQHH Aero's I've owned or handled. Still well under 7.0 lbs, so very wearable on a daily basis.

Would be very interesting to know how certain batches of the "same" leather just tend to break in much faster than others. The FQHH Cordovan Bootlegger I have been working on all fall is not as broken in as this PMHWM and I've worn the Highwayman less than 50% as much. Enough talk...here's the photos:

The blue "X" in painter's tape is so the camera has a target to focus upon until I get there. I use a tripod & small DSLR with a self timer. I find it works at least OK inside.

Back to breaking this one in a little more.

Looking good! I feel the same about my FQHH Aero CR midnight blue jacket. The leather just seems far more comfortable than my other FQHH aero jackets. Softer, more flexible, & conforms in minutes with body heat. [emoji1305]. The yoke on those Premiers are the bees knees.

The premier seems to have a much nicer fit than the standard HWM much less boxy.
I have a 38 HWM and a size 40 Sheene on order (trying to achieve a similar slimmed down fit but with a collar etc, for than HWM look in a more fitted jacket don’t really like the fit of my 38 HWM although it is a stunning jacket)
How does the sizing of the Premier range compare to the standard HWM?
Anyone try on both and compare? I saw a premier 44 HWM that seemed to have similar measurments of the 2 jackets mentioned above, but I find it hard to believe that would work for me considering the standard HWM seems so oversized, and I wear a 38.

I wear a 38 standard highwayman. I had two premiere highwayman jackets a few years back i sold as they were just too small. Those were size 42. So i think a 44 would fit.
