Some fantastic jackets there Gentlemen.

So it might depend a lot on which model the OP is going for (looking back, the OP doesn't specify..... have I missed it in the thread?).

Actually, no you didn't miss that - I never actually stated. Given the benefit of hindsight, I probably should have said so.
Still working out the details, but it will be a close fitting jacket finishing just below the belt line on a pair of jeans (so certainly not a long winter coat).

I actually have the woollen Herringbone Tweed liner in my '30's Half Belt.
Given that its been Summer here since I bought the jacket, I really haven't had a chance to properly wear it. The liner is certainly soft, no so scratchy as others have referred to it & certainly seems to be warm without being offensively so.

My Teamster has the heavy blanket lining, moleskin arms and pockets but is not too warm for springtime. Not sure if Aero do the blanket anymore :(

I don't think that they do. They bought out a mill and had rolls of the different patterned blanket linings at one time using it mainly in their longer coats rather than shorter jackets. I think that they ran out several years ago..or at least stopped offering it.

Maybe You can get the best of both worlds. Aero offer also some cotton tartans although their selection is not as wide as with the wool ones. Some time ago they offer also Black Stewart cotton tartan but I think not anymore. But You can always ask them if they can supply it for You.

I would love to have had the option for a blanket lining on my Aero...its one of the things I like a lot about the Himel Canuck RR Jacket

Blanket lining would be lovely in a Barnstormer. Ideal for Winter over here. My B3 and Irvin get a lot of Winter wear, but I suspect that a leather layer over a sheepskin lining might just be a bit much for London, most of the time. I'm still seeing a wool-lined Barnstormer with a long-haired collar in my future, though...
