Glad we seem to be past the bump here :)

Their version of events has never actually been explained and though that may lead some to point the finger (you did yourself earlier on in this thread) and say well, if you're not gonna explain or at least refute any of the allegations then you must have something to hide....

I disagree here. Its not pointing fingers. People have gotten not what they paid for, I myself could have been cought up in it. This is something real that I should take personally having bought 4 jackets from the persons.

In the end it doesnt really matter. Take the example of our restaurant, the health inspection had a streak in closing kitchens with rats and bad hygien for a coupple of weeks. They came to our restaurant and closed it down. They actually did it because of a leak in a near room to the kitchen, but people started talking about that the kitchen were dirty, had rats and that we the chefs werent working under the established hygien-rules. This was all wrong.

We opened up quite quickly and some customers came inside and wonder how we did that due to the fact that the kitchen were dirty and had rats.

So what to do? Say nothing and hope people would just buy the food becuase they had no proof? Thats not how it works. We had to go out in the paper and say that the rumour was wrong and that the chefs had hygien training, were following it, and get the healthinspectors to sign on that this was really the case.

Despite this, we had a hard time for a while and we really hadnt done anything wrong.

Should I blame the people that thought we were closed because of a breach in hygien? Offcourse not, this is how the world works and if you wanna do business you clear your name. If not, well you cant blame all the people that arent interested or have the time to digg/read between the lines/wait x amount of time.

So, yeah.... those eBay auctions for Aero jackets....

I have been so lucky that AlGore gave us global warming here because it's almost June and I'm still wearing it! This is just a perfect jacket.

...and he gave you the internet to show off photos of it. But hey, cane he see Russia from his house? No. Pah.

lol

Yeah, but you guys drink bourbon, the nordics vodka, and the brits beer. Your beer does not count as beer... The results differ. Not that I'm stereotyping here, no siree...

Ah, well, you see that American beer is a little like making love in a canoe..... ;)

Griff, I get your point about the restaurant and I can see the loose PR related parallel, but I hardly think this is a water tight analogy. You versus the health inspectors is really not the same kind of conflict.

Clearly, you felt action was necessary to protect the restaurant's short term interests, which I assume you had calculated would in turn benefit the long run also.

But if long term thinking had been the number one priority then perhaps you might have headed down a different road? As I say, it's not the greatest analogy and so whatever the answer to that one may be its correlation with the price of bread is gonna be somewhat negligible

In a conflict situation, my personal take on how to best handle yourself is that ideally you don't wanna show the opposition your hand until you absolutely positively have to. If they show you theirs, great, but I say keep yours as tight to your chest as is possible right up until that is no longer an option. Best case scenario is that you get to see theirs and they never see yours. FWIW, this is what I have come to realise based on the conflicts in my life, of which there have been a few!

Im sure it works great, but as Im trying to say - you cant blame if the customers wonders what the f"¤#% is going on and might stand on hold and feel uneasy. To say that your own customers is pointing fingers when you sit and say nothing is laughable imho. If you take a strategic action - stand up and take the consequenses of your choice, dont come and say we do the right thing, but you as a customer should know this and stfu.

if you can't hold enough pieces of this thread together in your mind at the same time for it to make sense.. maybe you should smoke some? Might help your powers of focus

Anyone that takes the past few years of goings on, ignores them and spends money on an unknown (or is it) entity while chastising those questioning such things is insane. Or getting benefits for such overlooking. Just that simple. And I don't need to wait and see. I can see plenty from here.

I cannot see anything from here. Maybe it's the snow we get here, never seen that before either this time of year. I've just bought some gloves from Aero, I thought that would be a safe bet, weather wise at least...

Personally I don't chastise anyone with a sceptical mind, I encourage it.

But on the subject of simplicity, yes, evidently some things around here are real simple. And I guess some things, the world over, stay the same.

All I know is that in my case, when I'm older, I sincerely hope I'll be able to embrace change, instead of actively resisting it. I hope I'll be able to maintain an open mind, and I certainly hope I'll never end up resisting change out of a misplaced old-women esque sense of caution to the point that I'm willing to look a gift horse square in the mouth.

As a continuation of the simplicity theme here's a very simple equation: Custom made Kudu jacket - yep that's kUDU - for £500 (five hundred pounds)!!!!

If you're in the market for a top quality leather jacket and you can afford to look past that then good for you. But me, I don't suppose that type of opportunity lasts forever and I feel like the old adage 'he who hesitates, masturbates' absolutely applies here.

Re: insanity & being on a payroll.
The first one, dependent on context, could even be a compliment. But if anyone ever wanted to accuse me of the second that would be a totally uncalled for and below the belt blow; certainly not one that I'd ever expect to receive on these pages what with TFL's gentlemanly code of conduct being what it is

Being sceptical isnt always the same as not welcoming change. All change isnt good. Dont make the mistake of thinking everyone is just old farts who thinks it was better in the old days. At the same time you should understand that you are young and many here have seen all this many times before, I have been involved with openening and closing alot of businesses myself and it can be many reasons why one wouldnt want to buy from a new vendor, even if the competition is always good for everyone, one reason could be support 10 years from now.

I also want to personally give you a friendly advice that if you continue with the delusion that you should just do stuff - not explain yourself - and think that people will understand....your gonna have a hard time in business and your gonna have a hard time with girls. No offense, just advice for free - take it or leave it.

I am absolutely "thrilled" to be able to buy this kind of clothes from different makers and I know that AL has some of the best machinists in the world.
But since its also about customer service, personally....im a little uneasy with the whole thing both Aero and AL, although the future does look bright and hopefully this all end up being a big benefit for everyone.

Is this stuff gonna go on forever????

I've been a member on here for a few years now. During that time, I have never once considered using the "ignore" button on a member.

But this is now just getting beyond the pale. Talk about "stream of consciousness" ramblings.....

Please, Mods - the OP's original theme of Aeros on Ebay is just a very distant memory - PLEASE close this thread!!:eeek::eeek::eeek:

And Schitz - please don't reply with more "profound" stuff...
