Aero Black Cafe Racer 4oz CXL Steerhide sz 38

hi all,

I just received several new Aero Board Racers and custom better fitting Cafe Racer so letting this Cafe Racer go to a new home.

Please see the measurements below which were taken just as Aero would (not around the sleeves but straight down the center) and if you have any questions please PM me.

This is a black Aero Cafe Racer made from Aero's HEAVIEST 4oz CXL Steerhide in size 38 with 4 pockets. It is in AMAZING condition and the hide is very supple as it is partially broken-in. It is lined in black cotton drill and has a corduroy strip around the leather kidney belt. It has 2 small scrapes (1 in the front lower left and 1 in the back kidney belt lower right) which IMHO adds character. I can honestly say it is like wearing a suit of armor and the grain developing is SPECTACULAR. The hide is super thick!!

Measurements are:

pit to pit - 21 1/2"
shoulder to shoulder - 18.5"
sleeve - 26.5" (Aero style straight down middle)
back length - 26 1/4"
weight - 3.3 kg or 7 lbs 4 oz

Price is $625 or equivalent in EUR shipped worldwide. Jacket is currently in France but can easily be shipped anywhere.

I totally agree. Most people choose Aero's CXL FQHH or their Vicenza Italian hide but IMHO Aero's CXL Heavyweight Steerhide is their BEST hide by far. The grain is incredible and although it is ridiculously thick and heavy, once it breaks in, it becomes soft and supple like butter. Really an amazing hide.

It is with great sadness that I need to post that this jacket was a bit too snug for my boney hips. Otherwise, the jacket fit like a glove and was broken in beautifully. I actually had an appointment today with Thurston Bros to place an order for a custom Sheene and talked to Carrie about replacing the zipper with a shorter one to give me an extra 1 1/2" of clearance, but I am just unsure it will turn out the way I want it. Rather than do that to this jacket, I will be reposting it shortly on TFL in the hopes of finding it a good home for the same price shipped anywhere. Big thank you to holdemchamp for the great communication and awesome shipping. Whoever buys this will not be disappointed.
