Aero A-2 "Real Deal" on order!!

Well after careful consideration, I decided to send my U.S. Authentic back for a refund. I don't want to trash the jacket here, I just decided it wasn't for me. HOWEVER, I did see these brand new Aero's on ebay on sale and I couldn't resist for the price. After conferring with our brothers on the Vintage leather jacket forum I decided to order an Aero "Real Deal" horse hide A-2 in Russet brown. This is the pic shown to advertise it on ebay. The only draw back is a longer wait time, but I think it will be worth it.

Still think you would look good in the ELC '33 Werber though for a few hundred dollars more you would have quite possibly the finest repro A-2 ever made!

I know Jay, but that puts it at $800 or so. I'm more comfortable with $600. for now. Maybe later I'll kick it up another notch.

It's worth the wait. I've got one from Aero in seal brown and it's a great repro. It's ageing just right. A tough well made jacket. Good choice (no,I don't work for Aero--although if I did I know a thing or two I'd use my empoyee discount on... )

WOW. That is a great looking quality jacket. Why didn't I find these before ordering my U.S. Authentic. That’s only a couple hundred more that my US Auth. including shipping and all. Is eBay the only source for this?

I've been wearing my US Auth. for nearly two weeks. Would it be unreasonable of me to return it for a refund?

There will always be someone in the backroom declaring..."OH you should have gone for Buzz Rickson, or Real McCoy, or Eastmans..etc" and there will always be someone who swears by one model and one maker..etc, etc (this will NEVER change).

All I can say is, you have put your money where your mouth and heart is and I know from experience that you will be very pleased with the jacket that you have chosen. There are lots of great jackets out there, and you have gone for a GREAT one.

Enjoy it when it comes through and ride it hard, as it will love you even more as it develops it's own special character!
