Hi all,
I was fortunate enough to grab this amazing jacket from a fellow Lounger (pawnieguy) and couldn't be happier!
For the record, he's a Gentleman and was a pleasure to deal with.

Now the jacket......
This is my first Aero & most certainly my first Goat anything. As such, my only expectations were formed from what I have read on these pages & suffice to say, I'm very pleased.
The hide is wonderful. The grain is superb and no doubt will only get better with use and age.
I believe the jacket was originally purchased mid to late 2014 & hardly worn (it certainly presents as such) and as a result, is actually stiffer than I had anticipated.

There is an inconsistency to the seal colouring on different panels (see pic's; I don't know whether this is the norm) but I feel that it seems to add to this jacket's character rather than detract from it.

Crazy buying a jacket like this in the middle of an Aussie summer, but when an opportunity presents itself and all....

Here's some pic's for you;

I guess I like the contrast stitching thing after all.......

Looks fantastic. Try to click to the right of the IMG and paste:

The fit looks perfect. You can see how the drop is greater in the front than back with the 30's HB, including the Maxwell. Great pictures and great jacket!

It's great keeping things within the TFL family, I'm very pleased that this worked out. Dan was a pleasure to do business with, and I just remarked to him off-line that the jacket looks like it was made custom for him. USPS and EMS was five days to Australia from PA.

Edit: +1 on the quality of his photos, well done.

That's perfect, Dan. Love the goat - you just don't see it here. Looks like it was custom made for you. How'd you think you'll go with a tweed lining?

Good question Seb. I guess I won't really know until winter arrives. It's actually a finer wool, so I'm hoping it'll still be comfortable.
Knowing me though, I'll probably keep telling myself and everyone else that it's fine, even if I'm steaming up inside just so I can wear the jacket!!!

If it had have been a custom order for me from new, I would have gone with a simple cotton drill or something similar, but being a used jacket, beggars can't be choosers as they say.
I'm very happy with it as is.

I hear you. Lovely example of grainy, characterful goat too (for those who think goat is boring). You can always swap out the lining for drill later if it proves too full on. Not sure who would do it in Sydney but Mars Leathers in Melbourne would do a good job.

I've had alteration work done at Venus leathers in Sydney CBD. They specialise in motorcycle leathers repairs and alterations and do great work, they should be able to replace the liner I'm guessing.

Looks great! Excellent purchase and truly looks like it was made for you.

Also, +1 on dealing with forum member 'pawnieguy'_ just recently picked up a black fqhh Aero Board Racer from him and was a perfect transaction for another beautiful jacket.
