Greetings to all Fedora Lounge members and guests:
I would first like to thank MK, Nathan, and Scotrace for the opportunity to have our very own thread here on the Fedora Lounge. It's really exciting to be here.
Aerial Star is a new American leather jacket brand. Our main focus will be the great-looking civilian leather jacket styles of the early/mid twentieth century. We like to use the term "Leather Aviation Jackets" for the styles we'll be offering. Included in this category is: flight jackets, motorcycle jackets, cossack style jackets, and surcoats (or leather aviation coats). As you know, there are multitudes of variations for each of these four style types, which makes the study of this subject so fascinating for enthusiasts and collectors.
Our goal is to remain very faithful to the original jacket brands. However, we also want to have the flexibility of making some changes when necessary. If we find that nothing needs to be changed, we can make an almost 100% exact replica of a particular vintage model. Other times, when we feel some changes are needed, we'll have them made. We don't want to make a reproduction just for the sake of making a reproduction, for we want the jacket we make to be the absolute best it can be. Of course, many things are a matter of personal taste. That's why we feel this forum is so very important. Because before we finalize a particular vintage model, we can discuss it with everyone here, listening carefully to all of your comments and suggestions.
As we state on the website, our jackets are temporarily made-per-order. At some point in the near future we plan on having jackets in inventory ready to ship. In the meantime, a made-per-order jacket should take about 3-4 weeks to ship.
We are currently offering three A-2 style flight jacket models, each for three monthly payments of $189.99. They're available in sizes 34-48, in either russet or seal steerhide.
Send no money -- we ship on approval and deliver free to anyone in the continental United States.
Our website address is:

We look forward to a long and good relationship with you.
Thank you very much,
Chris
