He is a great kid, but it takes ages to get anywhere as he has to doth his hat to all ladies and mature men, which nearly always means them stopping to chat to him.

On the subject of Winston, we visited Chartwell in September and he gave the guides a tour, he was able to answer all their questions and tell them things they didn't know.

Here he is at a 1940's weekend this summer

Thanks for the pic. I'm sure we would like to see pics of him in a fedora sometime but of course we have to protect our kids in this day and age.

Certainly sounds like a young man who knows what he likes!

I grew up a mile away from Chartwell, have probably visited far too many times and still it's not enough. Churchill is also one of my all time favourite characters from history, certainly not perfect, but a real person warts and all.

I would say keep an eye out on ebay, there's definately plenty of 1940's homburgs that come up there.

Thank you both, I am sure we must have a picture of him in his Fedora as he wears it all the time, I will have a look on the other PC.
He certainly does know what he likes always has done, Strangely he doesn't really like Art, and yet spent well over an hour in Churchill's art studio studying the pictures, most be down to the fact he loved the artist so much.
