Atomic said:I wanna try that, I have a DRZ that I've taken to PR a few times, but I never saw the new side track. How much are they asking to do Sumo events? I couldn't keep up with the price tag of running sportbikes after a while whilst trying to finish school. BTW, is that an RM-Z?
I got to see some of Gotbluemilk's stuff from down in Reno/Firnley. He has an awesome style that I liked, I didn't buy his because I prepaid Bones for that trip (about 15 of us went down and took Bones with us).
God, I know what you mean about the cost of road racing!!! And the better you get, the more it costs, even with contingency and all! Just look at what Holden has to pay out of pocket for an AMA weekend! BTW, I can't believe Hopper got his wrist fixed and Jake got reamed!!!
The Sumo open practices are $44 for the morning and an extra $20 if you stay the afternoon. Yet, if you're riding hard, you won't have the energy to stay for the afternoon.
I'm riding a 2006 RMZ 450 that I picked up from a friend. You've gotta put the Dunlop slicks on these bikes though and bring your generator and warmers. Otherwise, with the extreme lean angles, T-Hill T-2 type...LOL..., you'll either lose the front or go through a set in just one day from all of the heat cycles that you're putting the tire through. I almost lost my front three to four times last Wed.! Dunlop slicks are on order!!!
I gotta say, it's a lot more fun than the big track at Pacific or PIR, but probably not as fun as the Bay Area / L.A.ish tracks...for whatever that's worth...:eusa_doh:
If you decide to go down, PM me...we can race each other and have some fun!!!:eusa_clap
Also, get a picture of yourself in the Vanson Insurrection jacket...show it off...LOL...!!!
^^^love all of the pictures above guys!!! Great jackets, great pictures!!!
