I have always had great luck with eBay. The Paypal buyer protection thing can be a great help. I know there are many folks who don't care for GreedBay, SleezeBay or ePray but generally, I really enjoy it.

I have only encountered one dishonest seller over a 7 year period. Without Ebay I would not have my collection of original A2s, Irvins, B-3s, naval goatskin jackets my USAAF and RAF cloth uniforms. Ebay has opened up the world to collectors. There are risks, but with Paypal protection a buyer should be ok.

I've been scammed a couple of times on eBay, but it's no more or less caveat emptor than anywhere else on the web - or offline, for that matter.

I have been using ebay for several years, I had, maybe, encountered 2-3 bad sellers, out of 200ish. The only way to aviod being cheated is to do more research before making a bid. If the photo is blurred, ask for a better one. If it only shows a catalogue photo and not the actual item, don't buy it. If the price is 'too good to be true', don't get it. And set yourself a limit. If you think you are not going to risk losing 1k of your hard earn money, then just don't bid. Of course, there is always the buyer protection policy, but it takes ages and lots of your energy to make a claim, not something that you want to do it too often.

By the way, my A2 should be arriving soon, have been waiting for 3 full months already........

I'm sure everyone has had good luck with Ebay and there are some great bargains, but not for me.

Now back to the original topic. The A2 was shipped on Monday by priority mail so I should have it by Thursday or Friday at the latest. At that time I'll reveal where it's coming from in detail. There will be pics but not mine. The pics were sent to me by the seller.

I still aint sayin nuthin Well maybe one thing. The jacket is already at the Post Office in Niagara Falls(my home city). I probably won't pick it up until Thursday morning. I work a 12 hour shift 7pm to 7am so I intend to sleep all day. Then the whole world will know.
