A WWII Cold Weather Flight Suit

I was going through some old family photos yesterday and found this one that my father took of one of his buddies in 1942-43. Thought y'all might be interested in it for the details.

The suit and boots are pre-WW2 issue, used in training stateside.
The suit appears to be the B-2 jacket and A-2 pant - both horsehide with a heavy coat-like wool lining and high mouton collar.

Yes, the photo was taken stateside at a base in Texas. Must have been pretty toasty wearing that outfit in the Texas summer - in fact, that may be why the guy looks like he's about to faint...

Probably good training. There was a lot of waiting around on the ground before those high-altitude raids over Europe.
