Maybe I have too much time on my hands, but I re-wrote the words of Toby Keith's song "I Love This Bar" (minus the end verse, which oddly enough wasn't in the lyric set I acquired,) for the lounge. I think it's a fairly good description of how we feel when we log in.
We got winners, we got losers
Wine tasters and drunkards
And we got yankees, we got southern gents
We got some film noir junkies
And the girls all dress like Golden Era movie stars
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, I love this lounge
We got wool, we got cashmere
Cloth bound and raw edges
And we got conservatives, we got liberals
Early birds and all-nighters
And the war buffs talk about their vintage gear…
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm I love this lounge
[Chorus:]
I love this lounge
It's my kind of place
Just walking through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It isn’t far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm I love this lounge
I've seen long skirts along with high-tops
Then there’s working class and white collars
And we got lovers, lots of cynics
I've even seen burlesque girls and clinics
And we only drink when it’s properly aged.
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm I love this lounge
O, Yes I do
We like our cars.
We like our fedoras
We stroll our ladies out for dinner
Dressed to the teeth with big grins.
But I love this lounge
It's my kind of place
Just talking on the deck
Puts a big smile on my face
No cover charge, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm I love this lounge
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm I just love this old lounge
We got winners, we got losers
Wine tasters and drunkards
And we got yankees, we got southern gents
We got some film noir junkies
And the girls all dress like Golden Era movie stars
