A replaced ribbon...

[RBH]

This is my Brown Ecuador Hat Co. of Baltimore MD. fur felt fedora. With a 2 1\2 inch brim and 4 3\4 front pinch and diamond crease.
After the wide ribbon was messed up [I will not go into that ] I decided to replace the ribbon with a thin one.
Mike Moore at Buckaroo Hatters sent me one that I think sets this hat off. Awhile back I had this one up for sale but it did not work out, I am glad now it didnt!
I'll try for a couple of photos of me wearing it.

I made it fray too much soooooo.....
A new ribbon.

Roger that RBH. That 'ruggedness' is exactly what I'm after in my Leisure and your hat inspired me to experiment with something I would never have thought of otherwise *teasing, I know*. I'll show some photos when I'm done.

My first ever attempt:

Thanks to Dalex for supplying the vintage ribbon :eusa_clap It now looks GREAT (me thinks anyway) on my Panama for the summer. Just took my time, looked at the breakdown of the old ribbon previously on the hat to see where and how it was affixed and stitched and 'hey presto, Bob's your Uncle..etc' one new ribbon and to me a 'new hat' (well it feels like it). Much nicer than the bog-standard black grossgrain on it previously and definitely gives it 'that' vintage feel.
