As I said, a question for as many as are interested to answer-
..In a world where you could buy just exactly what you wanted without the need to accept polyester, low waists, laminated breathable layers, ugly collars, etc.,
what would your ideal Golden Era adventure clothing wardrobe consist of???
Taking into consideration the overlap on this forum of Jones-ing and Vintage-ing,
what would your necessities be for shirts, trou and outerwear and headwear, not forgetting that a true adventurer could be headed to deepest Central America, North Africa, navigating the Matterhorn or Norway's Fjords or delving deep inland by biplane or motorcycle-
- tropical- desert- temperate- alpine and arctic clothing-
Fabrics?- we're doing '30s-'40s. Wools, tweeds, whipcord, corduroy gabardine, poplins, drills, leather- sturdy stuff up to the rigours of it all...
Well, what do you say- what do you need to take along???
Go on- go crazy... just imagine I'm paying(and imagine that I have money...).
I thank you for humouring me-
