Does anyone fashion boonie hats to fit more like fedoras and less like caps? By that, I mean that the crown is not meant to rest on the top of your head. And I don't mean having the crown treated with lots of stiffener. HannaHats specializes in bucket hats which have interior piping that improves the structure of the crown. My problem with those hats though is that they don't come with brims of 2.5+" width (not to mention that their crown has an unnecessary taper), plus I'd prefer it be made of cool worsted rather than warm tweed. Essentially this hat would be for warm weather (as most boonie hats are).
