Here are a couple pictures of the final distressed sleeves . They went through many trials until I would tell Shawn this is it - so this is it . But they truly wouldn’t Stop experimenting with distress till I was satisfied. Super service there

This looks promising- as far as distressing goes. I would tone the contrast down a touch with a quick coat of mid-toned brown dye to mellow it a little. It would look very realistic.

They really did a helluva job duplicating the color of the Cidu jacket!

When they say they’re using wax and oil. What are they doing . Also is the dye used in this process? I’m trying to get a handle on the process

Different folks do it different ways- abrasion (sanding) wears the edges and high areas. Wax and dye darken and fill the lower/ worn areas.

Interesting that they sent you samples of Horse Hide. I have emailed Shawn three times in the past couple months about availability of HH and he kept saying out of stock. Just last week, he told me it would be a year before he could source Horse Hide. I don't get why he'd send samples of something that he says he doesn't have in stock.

Are all of the shearling samples actual shearling or are some acrylic or other? Thanks!

Maybe it's just me, but that pebbled texture on the seal brown horsehide does resemble cow leather
