Sorry if this is the wrong thread, i'm new. I'm a WWII reenactor so I have some experience with having a hard time finding vintage apparel that fits. I'm 6' 2" 185 lb chest 44L, pants 36-38x 34, hat size 7 3/8, shirt size 17x34. Does anyone have any nice 40's apparel they'd part with? it doesn't have to be top of the line or rare.

you're almost the exact same size as me. I'm a 44-46, 38-40 waist. 6'0, 225, so we're fairly close. It's impossible to find anything on the cheap as far as hats and shirts go. Suits? forget about it. I haven't seen anything bigger than a size 40-42 for suits or suit separates. Though i found ONE pair of 40s pants that fit perfectly just yesterday, that's about it. My advice is to scour local theift shops, ebay and etsy for 1940s /style/ suits, because anything that old is rare, even in smaller sizes.

Sorry for the late reply, work...
I've found some quality reproduction clothing through Darcy clothing that looks damn good. I'm trying to get a nice winter outfit based on my wwii wool overcoat.

Have a look at the forum. There is lots of stuff. Suits are teens and 30s, with all bells and whistles.

I've checked out Darcy Clothing, and like their Old School Cricket Shirt.
