Lovely, but sadly too big for me. :(

Wow, that's a nice one . . . condition and cut appear to be superb! Just a bit too big and more than a bit too expensive for me. But it seems like a fair price.

Slightly off topic - but always an issue here:
Dinerman, as a Bartender can you enlighten us why one cannot edit comments in Vintage finds and deals section?

I didn't even check the price once I realised that it was too big for me, but yes I agree that it's quite pricey. Still lovely, though.

Hmm...just my size. What do you gents think of that discoloration, can it be lifted or not? I've very tempted, but at that price I expect immaculate condition.

discolouration and me don't get on, unless it's on a worn workwear garment.

Agreed. It may sound snobbish or jaded, but I've been collecting vintage long enough that I usually won't "get out of bed" for items with condition issues. The combination of that discoloration with the high starting bid somewhat annoys me since the seller is essentially asking the buyer to take the time/effort/risk of cleaning the suit . . . being a grownup now, with a real job, and no longer a starving student, I'd gladly pay $500 + for this suit, sans stains that is.

I was looking at the mark on the leg. I wondered if it was discolouration from where the trousers had been left on a hanger.

Bloody lovely though.

Although, someone was willing to pay the $500 starting bid for the PB belt back. For my money, that was too much of a gamble on the stains lifting. Had the seller bothered to clean that suit, it certainly would have sold for more (I can state that factually ;) ).
