hi ! i have been collecting antique and vintage 20s, 30s, 40s,50s and 60 mens clothing and suits ! for years and have been very much in to the diferent edwardian, swing, rockabilly , and greaser movements , during that time ! what im trying to do is find a proper way to idenify 50s and early 60s mens shirts. im very confused because alot of what i find in thriftshops, goodwills, ebay and online vintage stores ! that appear to be from the era have terms like perma press or permanet press on the label ,also alot times the material is a polester blend or half 40% polyester rayon blend ? even what some are selling on ebay ! one of my Qestions is when did polyester blend mens shirtsand pants first come on the market ? also are most mid 50's to early pre 1964 era mens shirts made in america? im finding alot of shirts that have vintage style and even the labels appear from the era ! but there made in different asian and south american countrys ? also some have machine washing instruction tags that read line dry only ! please help me out thanks bob??
