1930's Stetson. I am sure this hat was made no later than 1940. The hat was stretched from a 6 3/4 to a tight 7 1/8. The original liner had to be taken out and the 22 ligne band has been replace with a 19 ligne. band. there is a very slight fade around where the 22 ligne ribbon was before. If you put a 22 ligne ribbon it would be impossible to see. There is a very high percentage of beaver in the hat. The hat is very soft and pliable but has lots of body. Their are no moth nibbles. Their is one slight stain from body oil on the underside of the brim which could easily be cleaned with out a hatter. The hat is in good condition, and great condition for its age. It does not have a squarish crown like the hats from the 40's but has straight sided crown with a more aerodynamic shape. I payed a 115 dollars for this hat. I want to have my other stetson fedora renovated by Optimo which will cost a 115 dollars. I am not looking to make a profit I am just asking to make the bare amount of money to have my favorite hat renovated by Optimo. That is why I am selling this hat, and for this exact price.
