Unusually for me (since I mostly take and interest in American vintage and 20s- 50s style) I've developed an interest in the shorts worn by the British and Australian military during the Second World War era.

I'm primarily interested for practical reasons- the waist adjusters look smart, but also seem more practical than wearing a belt. I'm intending to use them for riding a bike, walking and camping.

I've already purchased the below from Silvermans, which are pretty good, if a little shorter than I'm after (7" inside leg on a 34)

I'm also considering these

But I'm not sure about the quality, does anyone have any experience of them.

I'm also willing to consider other options, but maybe not full on Bombay Bloomers!

Sorry that I can't give you an appraisal, never really thought much about short pants. There is a website that I remembered, that do an amazing array of reproductions. Reproductions may not be the authentic originals, but it can suffice while you continue your search.

And just as a heads up, British military uniforms are sold off, you can see what's, what here. https://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/

Does anyone have any feedback on SoF or Online Millitaria as a company in terms of quality and how authentic the product was?

Went for the Online Millitaria /WPG one's in the end. The pattern is an exact copy of the orginals as far as I can see, the colour is lighter than the picture posted. Not sure how close to Jungle Green cloth it is, but seems sturdy.

Only issue I've had is the waist adjusters not really holding. I've been doubling them back, but it's hard to get them tight enough then.
