some stuff from the 'show us their suits' thread which might have missed this thread:
Yes. Increasingly I find that formality wasn't necessarily imposed, but rather just a personal choice for many people.
You find plenty of 'sloppy' dressers from the 1920s-1940s.
Here, at last, are some photos of me in the 1924 tweed three-piece. Hope the pictures do the suit justice.

From a London eBay seller. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity! That suit is incredible! Where did you find it?
Thanks very much for the compliments, Two Types! A shirt with somewhat longer sleeves certainly would have improved the outfit, though - the cuffs kept creeping out of sight...Mr Purple, I remember when that suit was for sale. A great suit and it looks splendid on you. The hat, the boots etc make a perfect outfit.
Absolutely fantastic! I think you've made HBK green with envy!!!

No offense, but I think this picture brings Harry Langdon to mind, more than Keaton.

We're getting to know each other, I think!Good to see it (I also recall seeing it on eBay), and somehow - given what you've been showing in the last few weeks - it doesn't surprise me that you bought it!
