This is the best one, so get on it.
Stetson 7x Clear Beaver Open Road
Size 7 1/2 Long Oval
The best production hat Stetson ever turned out.
Some may argue the 100 was better, but handle both, and see what you think.
Nearly perfect, there are two small moth nips that are so thin that the wind trolley string hides them.
The hat comes with the box I received it in- certainly a box for an expensive Stetson, but it’s cardboard and the paper-hinged lid is just hanging on. You can choose to upgrade to the Stetson 100 box in the next post - but it will cost extra. See that post for a full explanation of your box options.
$600 shipped in the US
My size! This is less than the cost of refilling the propane I lost in a leak last week. Crap, crap, crap ...

One of the perks of getting a Stetson Stratoliner was the small metal airplane pin that came with it. TWA’s new plane was modern and dynamic, and so was Stetson’s new hat. In an advertising blunder for the ages, the Stetson came with a DC-3 pin, not a pin depicting the Stratoliner plane. Purists are split - to wear the pin that’s true to the hat, or the one that should have come with it? I chose to have both. The DC-3 is on the right.
These are originals, and not the (at first, plastic and now whatever) repros that modern Stetson is putting on their substandard nonsense. $35 each, $60 for the pair, or $50 for the pair if you buy them with the Stratoliner hat I have for sale.
50-60s Jiffy Cap - red and yellow speckled tweed, cloth sweatband (soft, not dry-rotted), snap on the visor, US made, labeled a 7 1/4-7 3/8 but comfortably fits my 7 1/2 head.
