Hello Loungers,
I bought this hat less than a year ago directly from Miller Hats when I was in Houston TX. While at the store, I convinced myself that this 7 3/8 (59) actually fit me because the shop was out of my true sixe,7 ¼ ...
NJ/ NY Loungers,
Yesterday I was introduced to Dans Hats and Caps (A REAL HAT STORE) in Montclair NJ. The store is located at 404 Bloomfield Ave Montclair, NJ . Dan also has a shop at 33 Branford Place Newark NJ. What a great experience! There is nothing like trying on so many hats, and...
Hello Loungers,
I recently purchased this fine looking Dobbs straw fedora from a hat store in South Philadelphia and while at the store, I convinced myself that 7 1/8 actually fit me. This was because the shop owner didn’t have a 7 1/4 which is actually my size. I wore the hat around the house...
I have often thought how someone could make a living selling hats. It is becoming clearer and clearer to me that perhaps it is not the most lucrative of businesses. I personally love finding a hat store to go into and try on hats. Buying on line is what we are reduced to in this day and age...
Does anyone have knowledge of Tesi hats? I am interested in one and have never seen one up close. Is the quality there? Do their hat sizes run true? Etc. Etc.
I would like some feedback from the pros.
There is a hat store on Nassau street in the downtown area. The website is www.hats-capsonline.com. I wouldn’t order anything online because the owner told me he didn’t check the website often however, it is a hat shop. I think it is called or used to be called Youngs. He used to be on the...

What are your thoughts regarding feathers? Do they add to or take away from the hat? Does it depend on the hat or does it depend on the feather or both? Should I rip them all off my fedoras? I am torn on this subject.
I just received my new Biltmore Ark Fedora today in the color steel. This hat is quality for sure. It is just awesome. I purchased it from Hats Plus Ltd in Chicago via internet. Excellant web site.
So everyone knows the Yankees won the World Series. No big secret. For those who watched the parade, you saw A-Rod sporting a stingy brim fedora. So I go to my job wearing my fedora like I have been doing for years and I hear. "Hey, You stole A-Rods hat"
Problem solved
I have successfully removed only the plastic that was on the top part and what a difference it has made. I appreciate the advice and if I could figure out how to upload a photo to this website, I would show everyone this awesome hat.
Thanks again.
I recently purchased one of my first quality fedoras, a Scala Venice. The hat is satin lined and has a plastic linining on the top. I just started to wear it as the weather in NJ/NY is starting to turn cool. It really is a great looking hat.
I have a a small issue and was wondering if...
