Been quite a while since I last was on here so I want to start of by saying Hi to everyone :)
And to my question:
I recently bought a soft wool hat at a yard sale, inside the edge of the brim there is a metal wire to keep the shape but I feel like that isnt enough so Im just wondering if...
Bound edge, yay or nay?
My opinion is that bound edges is a big YAY, but what do you prefer, bound or unbound? and yes, it depends on the hat but still I think the bound edges look better, always :)

Since I´m Swedish I´m not used to the insane numbers of hat sellers or other online shops in USA so my own browsing is very limited, but I´d appreciate if you tell me if you find something :)
Also because of my limited browsing for hats outside Sweden I´ve had some bad luck and have only...
I mean the one on Stetson´s website, the only Whippet i´ve ever seen and it´s my dream hat. (mostly because of the recemblence to Johnny depp´s hat *Fan boy warning*. And what i´ve seen they cost about $100 and that is half of my monthly paycheck (monthly insurence payout) and then shipping to...
I live in a "suburb" to Lund (skåne). There are vintage/antique shops in Lund but they have like 90% old-ladies clothes and the rest are mostly furniture. And because I dont have a drivers license it´s rather difficult for me to get to other cities and towns.
I´m fairly new to hats and just assumed that akubra was a expensive hat because of all the discussions about it here :p
I was going through all 223 pages of my search result for Fedora at ebay yesterday, atleast 70 % of the pages was Costume hats and so on ^^
Tradera.se was at first...
We are all familiar with the real pricey hats like Stetson, akubra and borsalino but there have to be manufactors that make good looking fedoras for less money than those above (Scala is one of the cheaper ones I think, but who else make fedoras that doesnt make your wallet cry?
I never take my hat off at fastfood resturants, not even while I´m eating but if I eat at a resturants with a little more "quality" I take off the hat while eating not when standing in line to order, unless you order to a waiter at your table :)
Thank you! Really good answer :) I will buy it as soon as i get my paycheck, lets just hope that it dont get stuck in custom so i will have to pay taxes/duties for it :(
I just saw this hat online and fell in love, even though it dont have a brand.

Good thing that im european even though hatshops are VERY rare in Sweden and the shipping cost from other countries breaks my heart.
Thank you all for helping a hat loving "newbie".
I looked at Stetsons website but i couldnt find that model (is it called model?) and that is why I tried my luck here.
But are there a model from Stetson that is called Penn, maybe the website i linked in my post wrote something wrong?
And once again, Im sorry if I cant explain things...

http://carnelle.com/stetson/furfelt/furfelt.htm The one that is called "Penn furfelt Stetson and I just want to know what you guys think of it and if someone have some pictures of it that you can post here because I cant seem...
Panizza
I wear my one and only hat every single day. It´s a dark gray Panizza President. (I modified it after the pic was taken to make it look more like a traditional fedora so now the brim is flat and not turned up and I just finnished the teardrop crown).
Greetings from Sweden...
