I haven't posted in awhile, but this weekend I finally got the chance to do a wet set and a full blown good hair styling, which I haven't done in awhile. I figured I'd share it with you ladies. :o
I wear the one apron I have (I need to search the local antique stores for more!), and it's a 1950's vintage, floral pattern, made of terrycloth. The only qualm I have with it is its lack of pockets; I considered sewing some on, but as it's inherited I find myself not wanting to alter it.
My current favorite is actually a pretty cheap kind, I think I paid about 4 bucks for it. I got it from my local Ulta store, and it's called Prestige. The applicator is great, I usually opt for the kind that comes in somewhat of a pencil form so I can hold it closer to the tip, but this one...
Hmm. I don't think there's anything I want to wear that I don't wear. After doing re-enacting and historical recreations and going out in public dressed in 1870's fashion, and doing Red Sonja skits with a friend (yours truly being featured as a priestess) and walking around most of the town... I...
My fingernails tend to grow in a natural oval shape, so I keep them that way. I'm not a fan of square nails either, not on me at least, I have very small hands anyways, if I square off my nails they tend to look unladylike and stumpy.
I guess a lot of it depends on your personal preference and...
I love her vids, she gives great instruction.
No one's mentioned http://www.youtube.com/user/superkawaiimama yet. Her voice always makes me want to take a nap for some reason. [huh]
I have a really bad weakness for fantasy, and considering all the other books I read it's a strange combination. But with Martin I've been pretty amazed, it definitely isn't your run of the mill fantasy novel, and there are so many adult themes in his books that I was actually kind of surprised...
I'm currently sucked into George R. R. Martin's third installment in the Song of Fire and Ice series, Storm of Swords.
I was somewhat reluctant to start reading his books, because the first chapter or two in the first book confused me some and didn't just slap all the info right in front of...
Me and my vintage sweetheart... Excuse the crappy quality, we're not exactly living in this century when it comes to cameras, either... [huh] We also look more like we're in a monster movie in this one... and we're definitely not dolled up in all our vintage glory... but so what. :)
My hair actually noticeably comes out a lot, and it's done so since I was 15 or so. I've wondered if it's because I keep my hair in ponytails so much, pomp it a lot, have dyed it, use a moderate amount of heat styling, etc.
I had a doctor tell me once that it was hormones and/or stress. One of...
Hmm, I know I look nothing like my mother, but my daughter looks just like her. As for my grandmother, everyone says I take after her, but I'm not sure.

I'm not a big fan of TV, and never miss it when I don't have it. I currently have basic channels because it made my internet cheaper... but honestly, I only watch the "On Demand" channel that has all the movies and such on it for free.
I do miss the History and Smithsonian channels however...
I've always loved the classics like Monopoly, chess, charades and so on...
I just wonder, why doesn't anyone play croquet anymore? I played it my whole childhood with lots of my family, and nowdays no one even seems to know what in the world it is. That or they think Alice In Wonderland, lol...
I still use Aquanet. I've tried other hairsprays, but the only ones I tend to like are the heinously expensive ones, and I usually can't afford them. So Aquanet is my cheap winner. It holds and doesn't flake on me. So I like it. :)
