Carter, you fiend--just when I thought Peters Bros was gonna be my hat buyin' place you come along with pictures from a hat utopia not twenty minutes from my house. :eusa_doh:
I should've taken you up on that offer a long time ago.
According to my trusty tape measure, the circumference of my head is a little less than 22 inches. With that said, would a hat that measures 22 1/2 inches fit me..? I don't mind a loose hat, but only within reason. ;)
I was always interested in the Golden Age, so hats just came naturally. It doesn't hurt that I'm a journalist...you can get away with a hat if you're in the press corp. :)

You can't forget Bicycle Thieves!
I've only cried during a handful of movies, and this wasn't one of them, but it left me with a distinct feeling of hopelessness and empathy for the movie's characters. Very moving, and a must-see for black-and-white aficionados.
:offtopic: That's Hanks in Catch Me If You Can. One of my favorite movies of all time, if only for his knock-knock joke (caution, he drops the f-bomb):

Pretty good portrayal of 1950s-60s America, and a few good hats as well!
